Didn’t take long for the son of Moammar Gadhafi to run into some notorious gangsters – and Mickey Rourke -- on his way to Hollywood.

Natural Selection, the production house financed in part by $100 million of Saadi Gadhafi’s money, has finalized a deal to produce “The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer,” with Rourke attached to star.

The feature is based on the novel by Philip Carlo, and will be adapted by David McKenna (“American History X,” “Blow”).

Natural Selection CEO Matty Beckerman will produce, and WME’s Graham Taylor will handle North American sales.

“The Ice Man” tells the true story of Richard “The Ice Man” Kuklinski, who led a double life as a stable family man in suburban New Jersey and professional mob assassin for some 40 years.

Saadi Gadhafi, the middle son of the Libyan dictator, met Beckerman last year. Beckerman says Gadhafi is an American film buff who was eager to get into the moviemaking game.

He’s been known to have been pursuing a partnership in Hollywood for a couple of years or so and his main occupation is working to build a free-trade zone in Libya.
