The judge handling Lindsay Lohan's case agreed with defense lawyers' wishes to let the "Machete" actress "slip out quietly" to avoid a media frenzy, a person close to the case told TheWrap on Tuesday night.
The person said there are no plans for her to attend Wednesday's hearing in Beverly Hills, but that could change. But Lohan's early release doesn't mean she's seen the last of UCLA or rehab.
As Wednesday's hearing will determine, LiLo will have specific out-patient obligations that will require her to meet regularly with doctors and counselors.
Such a regimen means it is unlikely that the actress will be able to attend the premiere of Robert Rodriguez's "Machete," the only film the actress has in the cab, on Sept. 1 at the Venice Film Festival in Italy. "Machete" opens nationwide on Sept 3.
Update Tuesday 6:20 p.m.
It looks like the luck of Lindsay Lohan has borne fruit again. As first reported by RadarOnline, the 24-year-old was released late Tuesday afternoon from her inpatient treatment program at UCLA, after only 22 days.
Lohan was court-ordered to serve 90 days in the program, but UCLA doctors and obviously Judge Elden Fox agreed that the actress had done well enough to sleep in her own bed.
Before the rehab program, the actress spent just 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence.
Lohan representatives or the L.A. district attorney's office could not be reached immediately for comment.
A hearing is scheduled in front of Judge Fox Wednesday morning.

Hold your horses. If Lindsay Lohan has signed her discharge papers and is getting out of rehab at UCLA on Tuesday -- as is being reported by RadarOnline and floating around the web -- that's news to the L.A. district attorney's office.
"We've heard nothing new except that there is a hearing scheduled for tomorrow morning," spokesperson Sandi Gibbons told TheWrap. Attempts to reach Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, were not returned immediately.
Holley and Deputy D.A. Danette Meyer are expected to appear before Judge Elden Fox, the new judge in the Lohan case, first thing Wednesday morning for a probation modification hearing and progress report on the actress' program.

In fact, according to TMZ, Lindsay might find herself a free bird Wednesday. A person close to the case would not confirm that to TheWrap but did say that Lohan’s scheduled hearing would decide “whether she gets to change to outpatient treatment.”
