Nancy Pelosi Thinks Trump Needs More Sleep: ‘I’m Concerned About His Fitness for Office’ (Video)

“I find his charm rather offensive,” she tells “Morning Joe”

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said she thinks President Trump needs to get more sleep during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday.

“More sleep might be a solution for him,” Pelosi said. “I’m concerned about his fitness for office.”

Pelosi said she offered Trump advice: “Go to sleep. Get some sleep. Get some sleep. Bring yourself to a place where the synapses are working.”

Co-host Joe Scarborough elaborated, saying Trump doesn’t sleep and wanders around the White House watching cable news. Pelosi explained that she told him directly to “go to sleep” when he called her late at night to discuss the attacks on Syria.

Pelosi also said Trump has abused his power when it comes to James Comey.

“We have someone in the White House who really is disrupting the checks and balances system,” she said. “New Yorkers have said to me, ‘Watch his behavior, this is how he operates… first he will try to charm you. If that doesn’t work he bullies you,’”

Pelosi said Trump’s next two steps are “walking away from the deal,” and if that doesn’t work “he sues you.” However, Pelosi isn’t going to let what she perceives to be Trump’s tricks to work on her.

“I find his charm rather offensive,” she said.
