Ratings: NBC Shows Claim Top 4 Spots in Tuesday Primetime

CBS, ABC, Fox and CW all tie for second in key 18-49 demographic

NBC swept primetime on Tuesday, topping each half hour in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic.

As a matter of fact, NBC’s shows finished Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 across the entire day part. That said, there were quite a number of encore episodes airing on the peacock’s competition.

CBS, ABC, Fox and CW all tied for second in the main demo, each with a 0.8 rating/3 share.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.6/6 in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 7.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. scored a 2.2/9 and 10.7 million viewers. At 9, “Trial & Error” had a 1.2/5 and 5.4 million viewers. A second episode at 9:30 got a 1.1/4 and 4.4 million viewers. At 10, “Chicago Fire” posted a 1.5/6 and 7.1 million viewers.

CBS was second in total viewers with 7.5 million, airing all reruns; ABC was third with 3.2 million; Fox was fourth with 2.8 million; CW was fifth with 2.2 million.

For ABC, following a bunch of repeats, “People Icons” at 10 settled for a 0.7/3 and 3.2 million viewers.

For Fox, “New Girl” at 8 received a 0.8/3 and 2 million viewers. At 8:30, “The Mick” stayed flat with its lead-in from a ratings and share standpoint, though grew to 2.2 million viewers. “Bones” at 9 finished out Fox’s two-hour prime with a 0.8/3 and 3.5 million viewers.

For CW, “The Flash” at 8 landed a 0.9/4 and 2.6 million viewers. At 9, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” managed a 0.6/2 and 1.8 million viewers.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.7 million.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.
