Need Help Watching Trump Address Congress? The Onion Has You Covered

Tune in to Fusion TV on Tuesday if you need some comic relief

Congress is expecting a speech from President Trump tomorrow night on the “renewal of the American spirit” (according to Press Secretary Sean Spicer), in which he’s set to discuss border security, tax reform and the changes to the healthcare system that Republicans have been working on.

For many Americans, the mere prospect of such an event is stress inducing.

So, if you’ve been battered by the barrage of Trump news since his inauguration last month, the folks over at Fusion TV have devised a solution: The people at The Onion will be providing live commentary during the president’s address, the network announced on Monday. The broadcast will also feature “the Democratic response through a series of on-screen graphics.”

Fusion’s Vice President of Programming Nando Vila,  Senior Digital Producer/Social Media Editor Miriti Murungi and reporter Natasha Del Toro will provide pre- and post-speech coverage.

Tune in to Fusion TV Tuesday night at 9 p.m. for the address. The network will also stream coverage on its Facebook page, Periscope, and YouTube channel.
