Watch First Look at Netflix Comedy ‘Big Mouth,’ Shows the ‘Nightmare’ of Puberty (Video)

10-episode half-hour adult comedy was created by Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg

Hey remember puberty? Remember how terrible it was? Want to relive it again?

In the upcoming Netflix comedy “Big Mouth,” multiple characters begin to experience the “joys” of puberty. To get an idea of what kind of “joys” these will be, a new clip gives a perfect example.

In the clip, a young teenage girl gets a visit from the Hormone Monstress, who tells her about the joys of puberty. That includes listening to Lana del Rey, crying so hard no sound comes out, and yelling at your mom and calling her “Shannon.”

The 10-episode half-hour adult comedy was created by Nick Kroll (“Kroll Show”) and Andrew Goldberg (“Family Guy”). It features an all-star comedy cast including John Mulaney, Kroll, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein.

The series is based on Kroll and Goldberg’s experiences with puberty, which universally always suck, along with the experiences of women because, as Netflix says in the video description, “the glorious nightmare of puberty doesn’t discriminate. All genders treated equally.”

“Big Mouth” arrives on Netflix Sept. 29.
