Game 4 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals put NBC’s broadcast competition on ice Tuesday night.

ABC ended up finishing in second place thanks to “The Bachelorette.” Fox was third in the key 18-49 demographic with its “Gotham” finale.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5.5 million, according to preliminary numbers, running the hockey game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators all evening. Due to the nature of live sports, NBC’s fast national numbers should be considered inaccurate and could adjust up in Nielsen’s final tally.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.2/5 and in viewers with 4.7 million. “The Bachelorette” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.6/6 and 5.9 million viewers. “Still Star-Crossed” at 10 had a 0.5/2 and 2.1 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 0.9/4 and fourth in viewers with 3.1 million, airing just the two-hour “Gotham” finale.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and third in viewers with 4.3 million, running all repeats.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.

The CW and Telemundo tied for sixth in ratings, both with a 0.3/1. The CW was sixth in total viewers with 1.1 million, Telemundo was seventh with 887,000.

For CW, between reruns, a new “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” at 9 got a 0.3/1 and 1.1 million viewers.
