Olivia Wilde: David Blaine Asked Jason Sudeikis and Me to Drown Him (Video)

The illusionist came over their house to film a magic special in their pool, the actress tells David Letterman

David Blaine asked Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis to drown him in their family pool, the actress told David Letterman on Monday.

Wilde stopped by to chat with Letterman about her new film "Drinking Buddies" on "The Late Show," where she shared the story of when the illusionist showed up unannounced to film his new special at their Los Angeles home.

The actress told Letterman that Blaine asked her and her famous fiancée Jason Sudeikis ("We're the Millers") to hold him under water for 15-minutes, no matter how much he thrashed and begged for his life.

After some cryptic questions like," How long would it take to get to the local emergency room?" and "How long it would take for a medevac helicopter to get to the crib?" the couple passed on the participation opportunity.

Still, Blaine stayed for six hours.

"It was like being at the best kids' birthday party ever, because the magic just kept blowing your mind," Wilde said.

Minus the drowning, of course.
