The Oprah Winfrey Network has promoted Maitee Cueva to senior vice president of Programming and Development, the company announced on Tuesday.

Since coming on board at OWN in 2010, Cueva has held the positions of executive director and later vice president of  Programming and Development. She will oversee the network’s Saturday night programming, as well as other content development initiatives.

“As we celebrate Maitee’s fifth anniversary at OWN, it gives us great pleasure to announce this well-deserved promotion,” OWN President Sheri Salata said. “Maitee is a seasoned pro with a creative eye and laser focused executorial style. Her energy and passion for non-scripted television was key to building our successful Saturday night lineup so beloved by OWN viewers.”

Cueva supervises a number of programs, such as comedian Kym Whitley’s “Raising Whitley,” “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” and Evelyn Lozada’s upcoming “Livin’ Lozada.”

Before joining OWN, she was employed at MTV Networks as its director of Programming and Development. She worked on popular series like “Parental Control” and Randy Jackson‘s “America’s Best Dance Crew.”
