Ratings: ‘Person of Interest,’ ‘Parks and Rec’ Dip by Double-Digits

First place CBS’s total viewers top ABC, NBC and Fox audiences combined

CBS easily topped Tuesday outright, despite “Person of Interest” dropping 18 percent in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic. On the viewer side, the network bested the audiences of ABC, NBC and Fox combined.

Also slipping in primetime by double-digit demo percentages were NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” and ABC’s “Forever.” NBC saw a somewhat sizable gain from the low-rated “About A Boy.” The CW’s “Supernatural” ticked up two-tenths of a Nielsen point as well.

CBS was first in ratings with a 2.1 rating/7 share in the key demographic and in total viewers with an average of 14.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “NCIS” at 8 p.m. earned night-highs of a 2.6/8 and 18.6 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 9 received a 2.2/7 and 16.4 million viewers. “Person of Interest” fell to a 1.4/5 and 9.2 million viewers.

ABC and Fox tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.4/4. ABC was second in viewers with 5.2 million; Fox was fourth with 3.8 million.

For ABC, a special “Shark Tank” at 8 got a 1.9/6 and 7.1 million viewers. “Marvel’s Agent Carter” at 9 had a 1.3/4 and 4.3 million viewers. “Forever” at 10 received a 0.9/3 and 4.4 million viewers.

NBC and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 1.2/4. NBC was third in viewers with 4 million; Univision was fifth in viewers with 3 million.

For NBC, “Parks and Rec” at 8 had a 1.2/4 and 3.6 million viewers. Following a rerun, “Marry Me” at 9 got a 0.9/3 and 2.3 million viewers. “About A Boy” at 9:30 rose 25 percent to a 1.0/3 and had 3 million viewers. “Chicago Fire” at 10 received a 1.6/5 and 6.5 million viewers.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 1.1/3 and in viewers with 2.9 million. “The Flash” at 8 got a 1.3/4 and 3.5 million viewers. “Supernatural” at 9 had a 0.9/3 — up 29 percent — and 2.3 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.
