No one is going to pick on Paul Feig‘s talent and get away with it, the “Ghostbusters” director proved on Monday.

The filmmaker came out fighting to stick up for Leslie Jones when the actress revealed that she has repeatedly been attacked by racist Internet trolls.

Leslie Jones is one of the greatest people I know. Any personal attacks against her are attacks against us all. ,” Feig tweeted in response.

His reaction comes after Jones, who plays New York City transit worker-turned-ghostbuster Patty Tolan in the female-driven comedy, shared some of the horrific social media messages that she’s recently received.

“OK, I have been called Apes, sent pics of their asses, even got a pic with semen on my face. I’m tryin to figure out what human means. I’m out,” Jones wrote. “You know I’m gonna stop blocking so y’all can go through my feed yourself and see the bs. You won’t believe the evil. It’s f—ing scary.”
