$1.35 million will put you behind the wheel — but it's for charity
Wanna hop behind the wheel of the car that Paul Walker drove in “Fast & Furious”? You now have your chance — but it'll cost ya.
The Nissan Skyine that Walker drove in the 2009 film has been put up for sale by GTA International. The asking price for the vehicle? One million euros — or about $1.35 million.
But for that, you get a six-cylinder, 2.6 liter motor with dual overhead cams, all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering and other goodies.
The vehicle also comes with a copy of the Universal Pictures’ rental contract for the car, which has a mere 6,000 kilometers on it.
Also on the plus side: The sale will benefit Walker's Reach Out Worldwide charity, with 50 percent of the proceeds going to the organization.
“Fast & Furious” star Walker died at age 40 last year when the Porsche he was a passenger in crashed in Valencia, Calif., killing both the actor and the car's driver, Roger Rodas. Walker had been at a charity event.
The Los Angeles County coroner's department determined that the Porsche had been traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour.
