Ratings: ‘How to Get Away With Murder’ Jumps 21 Percent With Annalise Shooter Reveal

ABC and CBS lineups thrive throughout Thursday primetime

We now know who shot Annalise Keating on “How to Get Away With Murder,” and ABC rode the cliffhanger reveal to a comfortable Thursday ratings victory. CBS finished first in total viewers for the night — both networks saw their entire lineups rise week over week.

NBC’s “The Player” finished its run up one-tenth of a ratings point last night. Actually, Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” and the CW’s “Vampire Diaries” were the only shows that declined.

Univision managed to finish third in the key 18-49 demographic on Thursday.

ABC was first in ratings with a 2.4 rating/8 share in the demo and second in total viewers with an average of 7.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Grey’s Anatomy” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.5/8 and 8.5 million viewers. “Scandal” at 9 posted a 2.4/8 and 8.1 million viewers. “HTGAWM” at 10 scored a 2.3/8 and 7.1 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.9/6 and first in viewers with 8.5 million. “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 p.m. put up a 3.8/13 and 15.2 million viewers. “Life in Pieces” at 8:30 had a 2.0/7 and 9 million viewers. “Mom” at 9 rose 20 percent to a 1.8/6, with 8 million viewers. At 9:30, “2 Broke Girls” landed a 1.9/6 — up 19 percent from last week — and 6.8 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 ticked up 25 percent to a 1.0/3, along with 6 million viewers.

Univision was third in ratings with a 1.5/5, but fifth in viewers with 3.6 million.

NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.1/4 and third in viewers with 4.6 million. “Heroes: Reborn” at 8 got a 1.1/4 and 3.7 million viewers. “The Blacklist” at 9 received a 1.5/5 and 6.8 million viewers. “The Player” at 10 had a 0.8/3 and 3.4 million viewers.

Fox was fifth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and fourth in viewers with 4 million. “Bones” at 8 got a 1.0/3 and 5.2 million viewers. “Sleepy Hollow” at 9 had a 0.8/2 and 2.8 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in viewers with 993,000. “Vampire Diaries” at 8 slipped to a 0.5/2 and 1.2 million viewers. “The Originals” at 9 received a 0.4/1 and 824,000 viewers.
