Ratings: NBC Wins Despite 'Voice' Regular Tuesday Season Low

Network got some help from a “Biggest Loser” uptick

While flagship singing show “The Voice” hit a regular Tuesday season low, “The Biggest Loser” helped carry NBC across the finish line in first place.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.9 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 9.7 million, according to preliminary numbers.

“The Biggest Loser” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.1/6 — its highest since the season premiere — and 6.8 million viewers. “The Voice” at 9 received a 3.3/9 — making it the highest-rated show of the night despite hitting a regular Tuesday season low — and 11.2 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 2.4/7 and first in total viewers with 15.1 million. “NCIS” at 8 earned a 2.9/8 and 19 million viewers — making it the most-watched show in primetime. At 9, “NCIS: Los Angeles” received a 2.4/6 and 14.7 million viewers. At 10, “Person of Interest” got a 1.9/6 — flat with last week's series low — and 11.7 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 1.6/4 and fourth in total viewers with 3.6 million viewers. “Dads” at 8 earned a 1.4/4 and 3.7 million viewers. At 8:30, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” received a 1.6/4 and 3.9 million viewers. “New Girl” at 9 got a 2.0/5 and 3.9 million viewers. At 10, “The Mindy Project” had a 1.5/4 and 2.9 million viewers.

ABC was in fourth in ratings with a 1.5/4 and third in total viewers with 4.9 million. At 8, “Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” earned a 2.5/7 — its series low — and 7 million viewers. “The Goldbergs” at 9 received a 1.5/4 — its lowest to date — and 5 million viewers. At 9:30, “Trophy Wife” got a 1.2/3 and 3.8 million viewers. At 10, “Spotlight with Robin Roberts: CMAs” special earned a 0.7/2 and 3.4 million viewers.

Univision was in fifth in ratings with a 1.2/3 and in viewers with 3.1 million.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in total viewers with 2.1 million. “The Originals” at 8 earned a 0.9/3 and 2 million viewers. At 9, “Supernatural” received a 0.9/2 and 2.1 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/1 and in total viewers,with 1.3 million.
