Former Warner Bros. Home Entertainment president Mark Horak will take over as president of Redbox on March 17, parent company Outerwall announced Thursday.
Redbox’s previous president Anne Saunders exited the company in December when it was revealed that 251 jobs would be cut in an effort to “reduce costs and shore up its business.”
“Redbox is an industry innovator and a beloved brand that stands for convenient entertainment at a value,” said Horak in a statement. “As the media landscape evolves, it’s an exciting time to work on the next phase of the business with an emphasis on driving growth for Redbox.”
“We’re excited to have an individual as talented and experienced as Mark Horak join Redbox,” J. Scott Di Valerio, CEO of Redbox’s parent company Outerwall Inc. added.
