Ricky Gervais will be slipping into the patterned sweaters of “Derek” yet again, as the comedy series returns to Netflix this April with an hour-long special.

Golden-Globe-nominated for his portrayal of retirement home staffer Derek Noakes, Gervais announced the April 3 return date on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

“Big news! #Derek and the Broad Hill gang return to Netflix with a brand new Special on Friday, April 3rd,” he wrote.

The special will see Derek and his coworker Hannah (Kerry Godliman) at odds after she upsets his lazy roommate Kevin, Netflix  said, and will stream exclusively to their territories in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Nordics and Benelux.

Come Sunday, Gervais will go head-to-head in the Best Actor comedy series category alongside Louis CK for “Louie,” Don Cheadle for “House of Lies,” William H. Macy for “Shameless” and Jeffrey Tambor for “Transparent.”  See TheWrap’s complete Golden Globes coverage.
