Fox News boss Roger Ailes remains at the network for now, according to his bosses.
The longtime chief of the No. 1 cable news network has been beset by rumors about his imminent departure since former host Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against him on July 6. The parent company, 21st Century Fox, began an internal investigation.
Midday Tuesday, multiple news outlets reported that Ailes had been officially ousted.
But a spokeswoman for parent company Fox said that was not the case.
“Roger is at work,” the spokeswoman wrote in a statement. “The review is ongoing. And the only agreement that is in place is his existing employment agreement.”
