Ron Burgundy Doesn’t Understand Cruise Control in New ‘Anchorman 2’ Trailer (Video)

Veronica Corningstone also makes an appearance, and Brick is dead in the latest trailer for Paramount’s Dec. 20 release

Will Ferrell‘s Ron Burgundy almost kills his entire news team in the new trailer for “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.”

As it turns out, setting your RV on cruise control with nobody driving — with a bag of bowling balls and a terrarium full of scorpions along for the ride — is a terrible idea.

The latest look at director Adam McKay’s sequel to 2004 hit “Anchorman” gives audiences a little bit of an update of what Ron has been up to since the ’70s ended, while also giving a glimpse of the challenges ahead.

His wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), has replaced him as the number one news anchor in San Diego, while Brick (Steve Carell) is believed to be dead.

When Ron returns to work to conquer 24 hour cable news with Brick, Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and Champ Kind (David Koechner) by his side, he’ll be challenged to cope with more diversity in the workplace, while competing with a younger, better looking anchor (James Marsden).

A new international trailer for the comedy (below) also teases Harrison Ford’s role, as well as how the former Channel 4 news team changes (and ruins) news broadcasts for generations to come.
