White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s recent troubles continued on Tuesday when he referred to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as “Joe.”

“Yesterday the president set — had an incredibly productive set of meetings and discussions with Prime Minster Joe Trudeau of Canada,” Spicer said during the daily press briefing at the White House.

Spicer has become a household name after being mocked by Melissa McCarthy on “Saturday Night Live.” CNN’s “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter tweeted last week that White House staffers made a gift of “several” Super Soaker squirt guns to Spicer as a result of the recent sketch.

In the sketch, McCarthy’s Spicer used a Super Soaker full of soapy water against a reporter in response to a question Spicer didn’t like. On Sunday, Spicer took to Twitter to call Stelter out for the tweet, saying it was wrong and piling on with the repeated Trump administration claims that CNN is “fake news.”

Spicer also said recently that a report that President Trump sometimes wanders the White House in a bathrobe was full of errors, adding that the president doesn’t wear one. But on Saturday, a 2006 video emerged of his daughter, Ivanka, saying he wears “a pink bathrobe.”

While Spicer continues to give McCarthy material for “SNL,” the press secretary could be in Trump’s dog house, according to Politico, which recently reported that the president isn’t thrilled with his spokesman being portrayed by a woman.

In fairness, it appears that Spicer stumbled on his words and “Justin” came out as “Joe” because of a human error as opposed to literally not knowing the correct name — but we doubt “SNL” writers will care either way.
