‘Scandal’ Season 6 Reveals Premiere Date, Election Results Trailer (Video)

“TGIT” gets back to full strength in January

ABC unveiled its midseason premiere date for Season 6 of “TGIT” staple “Scandal,” and the Disney-owned broadcaster even shared a 30-second trailer this morning to get fans all hot and bothered.

“Scandal” will return on Thursday, Jan. 19 in its normal 9 p.m. time slot, when the show’s election results are in. The comaback will be bookended by new episodes of Shondaland partners “Grey’s Anatomy” (at 8) and “How to Get Away With Murder” (at 10).

The fall finales of “Grey’s” and “HTGAWM” are set for Thursday, Nov. 17. Watch the “Scandal” Season 6 trailer above.

In it, an ABC voiceover read promises of the premiere: “In just the first 10 minutes alone, you’re not gonna know what hit you.”

“Trust us — it lives up to the hype,” the V.O. adds of the election results episode.

We’ll all find out together Jan. 19. at 9 p.m. on ABC.
