Sean “Diddy” Combs just got called on a pretty big foul.

The rapper/mogul was arrested by police at UCLA in Los Angeles on Monday, after allegedly assaulting a football coach at the school, where his son is a defensive back on the team.

According to UCLA, Combs was arrested shortly after 12:30 p.m. with assault with a deadly weapon at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex after attacking the coach with a kettlebell, a steel weight used to perform ballistic exercises.

Nobody was seriously injured during the incident, the school said, but the UCPD is investigating.

Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.

According to TMZ, an assistant coach was “screaming” at Diddy’s son, Justin Combs. Later, Diddy allegedly confronted the coach and grabbed him.

He was arrested and placed in custody at the campus jail.

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved,” football coach Jim Mora said in a statement. “While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

A spokeswoman for Combs had no comment for TheWrap.
