Sharon Stone's protracted legal battle with the hired help has taken another turn, with the "Basic Instinct" actress countersuing the nanny who's accused Stone of harassment.
Stone filed the countersuit in Los Angeles Superior Court last Thursday, claiming that Erlinda T. Elemen, who worked as Stone's nanny from 2006 to 2011, failed to fully pay back a $12,500 loan that the actress granted her.

According to the breach of loan agreement complaint, Elemen hit up Stone for the loan in June 2010 so that she could pay off debts incurred from a failed business venture.
Elemen was supposed to make monthly $500 payments, the suit says, but she only made payments for six months, up until January 2011 — the month before Elemen left Stone's employ.
Stone claims that Elemen still owes her $9,500 — plus the cost of the lawsuit and interest.

Elemen sued Stone for harassment in May 2012, claiming that the "Casino" actress disparaged her ethnicity and religion, then fired her for rightfully obtaining overtime pay.
Stone's publicist has called Elemen's lawsuit "absurd," and Elemen herself a "disgruntled ex-employee who is obviously looking to get money any way she can."
Elemen's attorney did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment on Stone's countersuit.
