Ratings: ‘Criminal Minds’ Grows Double Digits in Shemar Moore Exit

Say goodbye to Shemar Moore, CBS, but hello to a ratings bump.

“Criminal Minds” grew by double digits on a percentage basis in both the key 18-49 demographic and among total viewers last night, hitting season highs in the process. Wednesday marked the final episode for Moore’s Derek Morgan character, who has been on the series for 11 seasons.

In its second week, spinoff “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” dipped one-tenth of a ratings point and lost 1.1 million viewers, despite a stronger lead-in.

CBS was first in ratings with a 1.9 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Survivor” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.0/8 and 9.2 million viewers. “Criminal Minds” at 9 scored a 2.1/7 and 10.7 million viewers. “Beyond Borders” at 10 posted a 1.5/5 and 7.6 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.6/6 and in viewers with 6 million. “The Middle” at 8 had a 1.7/7 and 7.2 million viewers. At 8:30, “The Goldbergs” got a 1.9/7 and 6.6 million viewers. “Modern Family” at 9 landed a 2.4/8 and 7.7 million viewers. At 9:30, “Black-ish” received a 1.9/6 and 6.1 million viewers. “Nashville” at 10 put up a 0.9/3 and 4.2 million viewers.

NBC was third in ratings with a 1.3/4 and in viewers with 5.8 million. “Heartbeat” at 8 had a 0.9/4 and 5.3 million viewers. At 9, “Law & Order: SVU” got a 1.5/5 and 6.1 million viewers. At 10, “Chicago PD” posted a 1.3/5 and 6.2 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 1.1/4 and in viewers with 3.6 million. “Rosewood” at 8 received a 1.0/4 and 3.7 million viewers. At 9, “Hell’s Kitchen” had a 1.2/4 and 3.6 million viewers.

The CW was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 1.9 million. At 8, “Arrow” got a 0.7/3 and 2.1 million viewers. “Supernatural” at 9 received a 0.6/2 and 1.6 million viewers.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.7 million.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.
