Stephen Curry, Shaquille O’Neal Lip Sync to Ed Sheeran for Guitar Hero Live (Video)

NBA stars prove they have hot moves on and off the court in new crowd-sourced video

Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors are currently unbeaten this season, and the NBA star is now proving that his musical talents are just as strong as his ball shooting skills.

The 2015 MVP joins basketball legend-turned analyst Shaquille O’Neal and Fox Sports host Erin Andrews for a new “Guitar Hero Live” promo, which sees the stars lip syncing to Ed Sheeran’s hit, “Sing.”

The crowd-sourced video — which is now playable in GHTV, Guitar Hero Live’s online playable music video network — also features fans who submitted clips of themselves lip synching to the hit song as part of a contest via the musical.ly mobile app. The contest generated more than 100,000 videos that have already been watched more than 100 million times in 10 days, according to the app.

The submissions were then edited together and animated by music video editor Alan Chimenti (editor of Katy Perry‘s “Roar”).

“From basketball MVP Stephen Curry to fans lip synching with drones and dancing on hover boards, it’s been absolutely incredible to see the creative responses we got for the Guitar Hero TV Star contest,” Tim Ellis, CMO of Activision Publishing, Inc, said in a statement to TheWrap.

“With GHTV, we can create unique playable music experiences, such as capturing footage from live concerts and transforming fan-submitted music videos into a playable experience. We couldn’t be happier with the response,” he added.

GHTV, the world’s first playable music video network, allows fans to play Guitar Hero along to hundreds of official music videos, from the newest releases to favorite hits.

“Guitar Hero Live” is available now on PlayStation4 and PlayStation3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the Wii U console as well as Apple TV and iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
