Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Travis Wall are returning to “So You Think to Can Dance” to serve as mentors for Summer 2015’s Top 20 finalists.
The two will join new Season 12 judges Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo, alongside returning judge Nigel Lythgoe and host Cat Deeley. Boss will coach the Street team — dancers skilled in styles such as hip-hop, animation or breaking — while Wall focuses on the Stage dancers, those trained in styles such as contemporary, ballet, jazz or tap.
Boss returns from Season 4, when he finished runner-up. Wall, who has served as choreographer and guest judge on “SYTYCD,” finished second on the show two runs earlier in 2006.
In other news, the duo will join the rest of the “So You Think You Can Dance” All-Stars to teach and perform the “#gimmefive” dance at the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 6. Honorary All-Star First Lady Michelle Obama will join the squad.
Over the course of its 11 seasons, “So You Think You Can Dance” has received 44 Emmy Award nominations and garnered 13 Emmy Award wins.
“SYTYCD” was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is from 19 Entertainment, a division of CORE Media Group, and dick clark productions. The series is executive-produced by Fuller; Lythgoe; Allen Shapiro, CEO of dick clark productions; Barry Adelman, executive vice president of dick clark productions; James Breen; and Jeff Thacker.
