Kathy Savitt is stepping down as STX Entertainment’s President of Digital, an individual familiar with the change told TheWrap.

Savitt joined STX last September after serving under Marissa Mayer as Yahoo’s Chief Marketing Officer. Savitt reported to STX Chairman and CEO Robert Simonds, COO Tom McGrath and President Sophie Watts.

The news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

At Yahoo, Savitt oversaw the company’s global brand marketing, product and performance marketing, and audience strategies for products like Yahoo News, Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Sports.

She is also credited with the launch of over a dozen digital magazines in addition to Yahoo’s original video programming, including the Yahoo Live Nation partnership and the revival of fan favorite “Community.”

Two-year-old STX, meanwhile, continues its aggressive expansion into entertainment. The studio recently announced an unscripted TV department and delivered an impressive slate to movie exhibitors at April’s CinemaCon — including glimpses of Mila Kunis‘ “Bad Moms” and Matthew McConaughey‘s “Free State of Jones.”
