Taylor Swift’s Felines Celebrate National Cat Day, and 9 Other Times They’ve Ruled Social Media

Boasting 53.1 million Instagram followers, it’s safe to say that everything Taylor Swift posts goes viral — and on National Cat Day, her famous felines were the stars of the Internet.

The singer’s poor white kitty was the target of jokes on her special day, with Swift posting an unflattering photo of Olivia. “With every passing day, Olivia looks less like a cat and more like a melting snowman,” she wrote.

The cheeky caption had already scored 850,000 likes two hours after posting — more social media interactions than most humans will probably ever have in our lifetimes.

Swift’s cats are even named after two of the most recognizable characters on TV — “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Dr. Meredith Grey and Detective Olivia Benson from “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
