Sordid “National Enquirer” accusations derail CNN segment about the feud between Cruz and Donald Trump
Ted Cruz’s sex life continued its assault on the media on Friday, after a televised catfight broke out on CNN between a Donald Trump supporter and Cruz’s former communications director Amanda Carpenter.
The salacious encounter took place during a segment hosted by Kate Bolduan, over the ongoing feud between Cruz and his rival for the GOP presidential nomination, Donald Trump.
“Adriana, are you ready for Trump to move on from this feud?” Bolduan asked Boston Herald columnist Adriana Cohen.
Cohen took the question as an opportunity to bring up a National Enquirer story alleging that Cruz has a zipper problem. And she made it personal, with regard to former Cruz staffer Carpenter.
“Oh, absolutely I think we should move on,” Cohen shot back. “Where we should move to is the National Enquirer story that has reported that has Ted Cruz has allegedly had affairs with at least five mistresses, including. you’ve been named, Amanda.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t think that’s moving on at all, Adriana,” Bolduan responded, attempting to rein the conversation back in.
But Cohen would have none of that.
“If we’re gonna call Donald Trump’s character into question, I would like Ted Cruz to issue a statement whether or not the National Enquirer story is true, that he has had affairs with many women, including you were named, Amanda,” Cohen pushed on. “Will you denounce this story or will you confirm it?”
One thing that can be immediately confirmed: The exchange was as entertaining as it was awkward. You know you want to, so go ahead and watch it below.
