Call it the Tiger effect: "South Park" had its best season premiere in more than a decade Wednesday, thanks in part to a well-publicized spoof of Tiger Woods.

Just over 3.7 million folks visited Comedy Central's animated community, the biggest season premiere since 1999. It was the most-watched show on cable Wednesday in overall viewers and adults 18-49.

"South Park" helped the premiere of new series "Ugly Americans" attract 2.1 million viewers. Among men 18-34, the show was the most-watched program on all TV (cable and network) in the 10:30 p.m. half hour.

Meanwhile, more than a few Irish eyes smiled upon Syfy's "Destination Truth" Wednesday: The show's third season premiere delivered its best premiere numbers yet.

Thanks, perhaps, to a St. Patrick's Day-themed episode devoted to the search for the leprechaun, "Truth" brought in 2.2 million viewers, 1.4 million of whom were between the demographically desirable ages of 25 and 54, according to Nielsen. That latter figure is a series best.

Overall, "Truth" was the No. 2 show on all of cable Wednesday in adults 25-54.

Over at soon-to-be Comcastic sibling E!, a "True Hollywood Story" focused on in-house celebrit-E! Kendra attracted 1.3 million viewers in the same 10-11 p.m. timeslot as "Truth." The "THS" number is the best for the franchise in nearly a decade and repped an 80 percent improvement in the time period vs. first quarter average this year, E! said.
