“Point Break,” released in 1991, was one of the first films to tackle the intersection of international bank robbery and extreme sports. It follows a young FBI agent drawn into a world of larceny and surfing.

The remount of the classic action film was written by Kurt Wimmer (“Salt,” “Law Abiding Citizen”) and will be directed by Ericson Core (Invincible).
