The Jennings family may be in more trouble than ever, judging by the new teaser for Season 4 of “The Americans.”
The Keri Russell–Matthew Rhys spy thriller follows the two as two Russian KGB agents acting as married suburban couple Elizabeth and Philip Jennings in Washington, D.C. At the end of Season 3, one of their children, Paige (Holly Taylor), has finally learned the truth — and then promptly blabbed about it.
Needless to say, much of the teaser for Season 4 centers on Paige’s next moves, as she’s pressured to tell authorities what exactly she knows about her parents’ true identities and Philip and Elizabeth realize how much trouble they’re in.
“It’s been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a show like this with the immensely talented and immeasurably supportive team at FX and Fox 21 Television Studios,” executive producers Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields said when the show was renewed for Season 4 in 2015. “We are blessed with an extraordinary cast and crew and grateful that we’ll all be able to continue telling this story that we love so much.”
“The Americans” premieres Tuesday, March 16 on FX.
