‘The Talk’ Premiere Week Snags Series-High Ratings

The CBS daytime show improves 20 percent over last season’s premiere week in total viewers and key demo

It’s no secret — “The Talk” is off to a robust start with its fourth season.

The Season 4 premiere week of CBS’s daytime gab-fest — which saw  Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler sharing secrets from their lives — yielded a series ratings high for the show.

Over the week, “The Talk” averaged 2.8 million total viewers — a 20 percent boost over last season’s premiere week average of 2.33 million, and the largest weekly audience for the show to date.

In the women 25-54 demo, “The Talk” premiere week was also up 20 percent, averaging a 1.2 rating/09 share — matching the series’ all-time high in the demo.
