‘The View’: Paula Faris Compares Ted Cruz Campaign to ‘Dumb and Dumber’ (Video)

“He’s like the guy that keeps asking the girl out who won’t take no for an answer,” Faris says

“The View” panelist Paula Faris compared Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign to Jim Carrey comedy “Dumb & Dumber” on Tuesday.

“[Cruz has] run a campaign of integrity but it’s over,” Faris said. “He’s like the guy that keeps asking the girl out who won’t take no for an answer. Remember that scene? ‘Dumb & Dumber’ when he says ‘Like 1 in 100, and she says ‘1 in a million’ and he says ‘So there’s a chance?’”

The comment came during a discussion about the widely circulated video showing Carly Fiorina falling offstage at a Cruz rally, where the GOP candidate doesn’t make any effort to help her.

“I’m going to give him a pass on this because if you look at it in slow motion, which I know I’m crazy but I have, it looks — see, see, Ted’s not looking at her,” guest host Sunny Hostin said. “He’s looking elsewhere. His wife sees it and she looks horrified.” Fiorina, who is Cruz’s pick for vice president, reportedly didn’t suffer any injuries.

The co-hosts also posited that Cruz probably didn’t hear the thud from Fiorina falling off the stage. “If Chris Christie was his running mate, he would have heard the thud,” Joy Behar joked.
