“This Is Us” has so many twists and turns that even its cast can get caught off guard when watching an episode.
“We get so far ahead that I forget what we filmed,” Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Pearson patriarch Jack, tells TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell. “We just wrapped [episode] 15, so I had to be reminded of what we had for 11, 12, 13 and 14. It’s like that immediate [thing where] you just focus on the job in front of you.”
He added with an eyebrow raised in excitement: “There’s a lot of cool stuff coming.”
Jack’s character is dead in the present day timeline of the show, but Ventimiglia shared his thoughts on how he might be present for his daughter Kate (Chrissy Metz) if she married fiance Toby (Chris Sullivan).
“Jack will be there in the front row with a Steelers beanie, in an urn,” the actor joked. “Likely what it will probably come to is Jack talking to a younger Kate, about something related to her… Who knows? I don’t know.”
