Trevor Noah Suggests Trump Leverage Michael Cohen Tape Into Endorsement Deals (Video)

POTUS heard asking for a Coke on tape released by his former lawyer on Tuesday

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah took a closer look at the audiotape released Tuesday night by Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, and figured that there’s a pretty big silver lining to the whole thing — possible extra money.

Noah focused on the moment in the tape, in which Trump and Cohen were discussing making a payment to someone named David, when Trump said: “Get me a Coke, please.”

“Now that is shocking. I never thought I’d hear Donald say the word ‘please.’” Noah then said he feels a bit sorry for Coca-Cola, which probably didn’t want Trump’s endorsement, but added that if recordings of Trump are going to be released to the public, “he may as well benefit from it.”

So it was that Noah suggested Trump leverage the exposure for all sorts of endorsement deals. Example:

Fake Michael Cohen: “There will be zero record of you working with the Russians.”

Fake Trump: “Terrific. Can you get me a Coke Zero? Zero calories, for zero collusion.”

Earlier in the video, Noah took a moment to try and make sense of where the Cohen tape fits into the multiple affairs Trump is accused of. “Maybe that’s why Trump always tweets ‘witch hunt.’ Like maybe he’s asking like wait, which hunt is this again?”

There’s more, and you can watch the whole thing above.
