Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to Headline Summer Election Special (Video)

Hulu mounts follow-up to February’s “Triumph’s Election Special 2016”

Hulu and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog are at it again with a new political special, “Triumph’s Summer Election Special 2016,” where Conan O’Brien‘s puppet sidekick will take on the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.

The one-hour special, a follow-up to February’s “Triumph’s Election Special 2016,” will become available to subscribers on Aug. 11.

In the first clip released from the new Triumph special, the cigar-chomping Rottweiler puppet is seen joking around with veteran journalist and “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer.

After laughing together about whether Donald Trump would go to war with Japan over daughter Ivanka having some bad sushi, Schieffer himself inevitably becomes the butt of Triumph’s roast.

“‘Face the Nation …’ at your age it’s more like facing frequent urination,” said Triumph, sending Schieffer into giggles.

“Triumph’s Summer Election Special 2016” is part of Hulu’s partnership with Funny Or Die. The special is created and executive produced by Robert Smigel and executive produced by Funny Or Die’s Anna Wenger and Mike Farah, Conan O’Brien, and Sue Fellows.
