A&E Network has greenlighted "Bob Saget's Strange Days," an original reality series exploring some of America's little-known subcultures.

In seven one-hour episodes, due to premiere next year, Saget will immerse himself in unusual cultures, from mail-order brides to a survivalist cult preparing for the end of the world. He'll even rush a fraternity.

"Bob Saget has been a part of the television landscape for years, but now we'll be seeing him in a completely different light as he travels the country to explore ways of living that most of us know nothing about," Robert Sharenow, A&E's senior VP of nonfiction and alternative programming, said in a statement.

"The show will reveal hidden corners of the real America and the real Bob Saget, who is even funnier and more relatable when just being himself than any other role he's ever played," Sharenow added.

"Bob Saget's Strange Days" (working title) is produced for A&E Network by Tijuana Entertainment ("Obsessed," "The Two Coreys") and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
