Following the success of its "Star Wars" parody "Blue Harvest," Fox's "Family Guy" is heading back to outer space Dec. 22.
That's when the show's characters once again don stormtrooper uniforms and pick up lightsabers for "Family Guy: Something Something Something Darkside."
Where the ratings magnet "Blue Harvest" parodied the original 1977 "Star Wars" film ("Blue Harvest" was the fake working title of "Return of the Jedi"), the new hourlong special parodies "The Empire Strikes Back." And it's in "shocking, eye-popping 2D!"
