NBC is developing a semi-scripted comedy from sitcom vet Larry Charles and McG's Wonderland production company.
The untitled project centers on a group of sci-fi fanboys in a small town who shoot their own version of a canceled TV show. Charles, whose past credits include "Seinfeld" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," is on board to write, executive produce and direct the project, which for now Warner Bros. and NBC are calling a "prototype."
