"Legend of the Seeker," which had been hoping for an 11th-hour stay of execution, reportedly has been canceled.

The outlook had been bleak since last March, when many of Tribune Station Group’s markets dropped the syndicated series, which was developed from Terry Goodkind’s fantasy novels by Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, producers of "Xena, Warrior Princess" and "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys."

ABC Studios, which produces it, kept shopping it around but, according to Entertainment Weekly, found no takers.
