"True Blood" has tapped some more fresh blood for its upcoming sixth season.
British actor Rob Kazinsky, who starred in the BBC One soap opera "EastEnders" from 2006 to 2009, has signed on as a regular for HBO's hit vampire drama, a spokeswoman for the network told TheWrap on Tuesday.
Kazinsky will play Ben, a faerie who helps Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) unravel the mystery of their parents' murders.
Kazinsky, whose credits also include the Sky One drama "Dream Team," also appears in Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi adventure film "Pacific Rim," due out next year.
Season 6 of "True Blood" also will feature "Blade Runner" star Rutger Hauer, who will play Macklyn, a shady character with a long standing connection to Sookie and Jason.
Deadline first reported the news of Rob Kazinsky's "True Blood" casting.
