Whoa, Tantamount!

ABC has given a late comedy pilot greenlight to "Southern Discomfort," a multicamera half-hour from prolific producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and Mitch Hurwitz.

The order brings to five the number projects the Tannenbaums and Hurwitz are producing this year via Tanamount, their Sony-based production banner. Sony and ABC Studios will co-produce.

Chad Kultgen wrote the pilot for "Southern," which revolves around a dad whose life is thrown into chaos when his grown kids move back in with him. Rob Long is executive producing, along with Hurwitz and the Tannenbaums.
