James Gandolfini Gearing Up for New HBO Project

HBO Films is developing a project centered around former "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini, TheWrap has confirmed.


HBO Films has optioned the rights to the Robert Egan/Kurt Pitzer book "Eating With the Enemy: How I Waged Peace With North Korea From My BBQ Shack in Hackensack."

The book details the experiences of a New Jersey restaurant owner who becomes an unlikely, unofficial diplomat to North Korea, after getting involved POW/MIA issues.

Gandolfini's other upcoming projects include the the crime thriller "Cogan's Trade," which co-stars Brad Pitt and is currently in prodution; and the drama "Twylight Zones," co-starring Brad Garrett and Christopher McDonald.

News of the "Eating With the Enemy" project was first reported by Deadline.com.
