Former "A Different World" actress Jasmine Guy has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit by American Express, according to court documents obtained by TheWrap.

Guy, who played spoiled rich girl Whitley Gilbert on the "Cosby Show" spinoff, is accused of breach of contract and unjust enrichment in the suit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday.

Specifically, American Express alleges that Guy has blown off the balance on her Delta SkyMiles credit card.

The company is seeking to recoup an outstanding balance of $86,241.03, plus late charges, interest, court costs and attorney's fees.

Guy, 49, recently had a recurring stint as Sheila Bennett on the CW series "The Vampire Diaries" and, perhaps somewhat ironically, as Judge Nona Daniels on Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva."

Wonder how that character would rule on her case...
