Jimmy Kimmel is going primetime -- at least for a night.

ABC has just booked a repeat of Kimmel's buzzworthy Oscar special for this Saturday at 10 p.m. That's on top of a previously announced encore airing in the show's regular post-midnight timeslot.

UPDATE 9:02 PM: The Friday encore of the Oscar special has been scrapped to make room for the primetime broadcast.

Nobody can accuse ABC of not doing all it can to hype Kimmel. Now the network just needs to come to its senses and shift "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to the 11:35 p.m. slot, finally joining the real late-night comedy competition.

"Nightline" loyalists, feel free to sound off in the comments. Everyone else join me for a party on the corner of No and Brainer.
