The Balloon Boy’s parents aren’t the only “Wife Swap” alumni in trouble.

Ralph and Karen Guastaferro, who appeared on the ABC series in January 2008, are even more up the creek, with federal authorities accusing both of white collar crimes that could send them to prison for nearly five years, according to the Buffalo News.

Ralph Guastaferro, 62, is accused of laundering $1.2 million in illegal proceeds for a Canadian telemarketing firm, the paper reported. He could see his sentencing guidelines drop to 27-33 months if he cooperates with the investigation.

Meanwhile, wife Karen is accused failing to report more than $370,000 of wages for her glass-tinting business, as well as neglecting to pay more than $56,000 in back taxes. She could get anywhere from 10-16 months in federal prison.

The couple, which were seen on “Wife Swap” lavishing their teenage daughter with gifts, including a new Chevrolet Tahoe she wasn’t yet old enough to drive, are now broke, according to the Buffalo News.
