"Chase," a drama from executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Jennifer Johnson, is NBC's fifth scripted series pilot pickup for the 2010-11 season.

NBC/Universal Media Studios primetime entertainment president Angela Bromstad announced the pickup Monday.

Chase“'Chase’ has all the undeniable elements of a thrill ride that you would expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer action series,” Bromstad said in a statement. “Equally important, it also features a great cast. Kelli Giddish is a breakout star as the lead.”

Cast alongside Giddish ("Past Life"), who plays a U.S. marshal tracking down violent criminals on the run, are Cole Hauser (“K-Ville”), Amaury Nolasco (“Prison Break”), Rose Rollins ("The L Word”) and Jesse Metcalfe (“Desperate Housewives”).

David Nutter (“The Mentalist,” “Without a Trace” “The X-Files”) directed and executive produced the pilot, which was written by Johnson ("Cold Case").

NBC previously picked up "Undercovers," "The Event," "Love Bites" and "Outsourced."

“Chase” is produced by Bonanza Productions in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. Television. Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Johnson are executive producers; KristieAnne Reed is co-executive producer.
