TNT reported strong Monday ratings for its series "The Closer" and "Rizzoli & Isles" on Tuesday, while HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" continued to grow after last week's impressive season premiere.

The Kyra Sedgwick drama "The Closer," airing at 8 p.m., garnered 6.5 million total viewers, 1.4 million of them in the sought-after adults 18-49 demographic, while "Rizzoli & Isles" at 10 p.m. edged out last week's episode by 10,000 viewers, drawing 6.4 million total viewers, with 1.6 million of them in the adults 18-49 bracket.

Both series had strong season premieres last week, with "The Closer" debut accumulating 8.7 million viewers in Live +3 delivery. (The second-season premiere of "Rizzoli & Isles" has so far edged up to 8 million viewers in Live +3.)

Meanwhile, HBO announced on Tuesday that Sunday's episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" grew appreciably over last week's 8th season premiere, which itself had a 53 percent surge over the previous season's premiere and set a seven-year record for the series.

The initial 10 p.m. airing of Sunday's episode drew 1.9 million total viewers, a 12 percent boost over the season premiere, and added 556,000 viewers for its midnight re-airing, putting its total numbers for the night 17 percent above last week's premiere totals.

HBO's vampire drama "True Blood" also performed well, edging out last week's episode with a combined 6.2 million total viewers (5.1 million for the initial 9 p.m. broadcast, and another 1.1 million for its 11 p.m. re-airing), compared to last week's combined total viewership of 6.1 million. The series' fourth season premiered on June 26 with a combined 6.4 million total viewers.
