And it don't stop: Conan O'Brien continues to pull away from David Letterman during what's expected to be his final days as host of "The Tonight Show."
Tuesday's show popped back up to a 1.9 in the adults 18-49 demo, nearly tripling the 0.7 demo score of Letterman's "Late Show" in Nielsen's 25 markets with metered market demo data.
Helping Coco: NBC's primetime lineup was relatively strong Tuesday, with "The Biggest Loser" boosting "The Jay Leno Show" to a 2.0 in adults 18-49, according to preliminary national Nielsen data. "Leno" actually started at 10:01, so it's possible that number will go down.
If the numbers hold, however, "Leno" could end up tied for first in the 10 p.m. hour with a repeat of CBS's "The Good Wife."
O'Brien's "Tonight" surge is helping his old show, "Late Night," as well. Version 3.0 of NBC's 12:35 a.m. franchise averaged a 0.8 in adults 18-49, beating out CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.4) and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.5).
Meanwhile, since we're babbling on about the ratings: "American Idol" dropped to a 9.9/27 in adults 18-49, merely tripling the score of its nearest rival in the hour (NBC's "Loser"). The horror.
