Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie" doesn't need any: It's shaping up to be another hit for the Mouse machine, based on its premiere ratings.

"Charlie" -- which, apparently, is also the subject line of an e-mail Leslie Moonves and Warner Bros.' Bruce Rosenblum sent to Charlie Sheen last week -- drew 4.8 million viewers Easter Sunday night at 8:30 p.m., 2 million of which were in the Dis-friendly demo of non-adults 9-14. This was the best premiere for a non-sequel/non-spinoff Disney series since "Hannah Montana" exactly four years ago.

The Disney comedy, a family half-hour in which nobody appears to be a wizard or aspiring pop singer... yet, was the No. 1 show on cable in its timeslot, beating Discovery's "Life" (3.4 million). It got a good boost from its lead-in, a broadcast of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" (which drew 4 million viewers).
